Freeedooooom!

At least for the summer. I just finished my last Final exam. It was business law. The exam had questions about contracts, torts, agency, real and personal property, and other topics. I'm glad the semester is over. I sold my books back to the store already. I'm ready to move on to making money now. There's just one "contract" that I need to complete and I'll be free to seek work. I've given up on looking for a job. In a tight labor market (atypical for the RGV), it's hard to believe that employers make it so difficult on themselves to fill openings.

I'm going to hit construction sites for work. I'm also going to try the day-laborer thing. I watched Fun with Dick and Jane recently and it seemed interesting. I'm sure to have stories about that experience. Some of you may be thinking, why would Shaine go work somewhere that doesn't offer benefits or any job security? I see it as the same as being unemployed, except I make money. I could sit around broke hoping for a call or I can go make money until something comes up. The good news for me is that there are new subdivisions coming to the South of Mission. Domit is expected to develop 1000 lots. I question their timing during the current tightening of the money supply, but I guess they are committed.
