is there anywhere where you can recycle and get cash back? In CA, there are recycling centers in the back of supermarkets- you insert the cans in this machine and you get a voucher for the amount your cans are worth which you cash in; anything like that around here? the only places I can find are scrapping factories but those require hundreds of pounds worth before they are willing to give you anything
It has been some time since I've done it, but there are places. We used to take bottles and cans to the beer distribution center when I was a kid. That was on the corner of Ware and Business 83 in McAllen. I don't know if they do that anymore. There was a place here in Mission behind Foy's Supermarket on Conway. Again, I don't know if they still do that.
With the price of metals going up, I don't see that they would go out of business. I'll look out for recycling centers and let you know if there are any "for profit" places.
