We waited out the storm in Madero, Tx, a small townlet south of Mission. In our experience, the wind was gusting pretty hard. The rain was not as much as we have experienced in other storms. In other storms, there is "fat rain", which consists of large drops of water. Hurricane Dolly did not have fat rain in our area. There was lots of rain, but it did not cut down visibiity too much.
