RGV Election Night Hangout

Campaign Workers and Polling Places - Photos

I made some time to go visit some of the polling places near Mission, Texas to take some pics of the campaign signs and workers out there rooting for their candidate.  They report that there have not been rushes of people coming in to vote, it has been a steady trickle. They expect that as 7 pm comes near, that more people will show up and vote at the last minute.

I'm posting it here so I can find it later. I was half watching it as I worked; but, I want to go back and pay closer attention later.

RGV Life Introductory Hangout

Had some trouble with the first take, no audio. Corrected it. I think I'll be running a dedicated ethernet cable to reduce the jitter. So, who would you like to see interviewed? What is a good time for you to participate in the Hangout? Have any events going on? Let me know.

Voter Registration Cards In the Mail

You should have received your voter registration card from your County Elections office already. Hidalgo County voters have been receiving theirs in the mail this week. If you just scan your mail, look for a yellowish postcard. It is important to have your card this election to avoid confusion as to where you should vote. Some lines have changed, thanks to redistricting. Your voter card should have your voting precinct listed. However, if you are unsure, then you can visit https://team1.sos.state.tx.us/voterws/viw/faces/SearchSelectionVoter.jsp to find your precinct. There is no need to tell you that there is a lot at stake in the general election; but, it all starts in the primaries.
